Quantifiable Nothingness

about

The first track, "Quantifiable Nothingness" opens the album as an instrumental piece. If you're a fan of The Alan Parsons Project, this song might remind you of the instrumentals that begin each of his albums. Alan Parsons was a huge musical influence on me in the 80's, and in fact, I actually had the opportunity to tell him so. He played in Ottawa at Bluesfest in July, 2009. My wife and I volunteer as artist transportation every summer for Bluesfest, and I was lucky enough to pick him up at the airport and take him to his hotel. If you didn't know, Alan also engineered albums for The Beatles and Pink Floyd, two other major influences of mine. This is also one of a few songs on this album that feature two drum kits.
