"God Lives In America" is my personal rant on religion and violence, as they seem to go hand in hand most of the time. I am sick to death of terrorists, school shootings, the NRA, and everyone to the South that believes God blesses only America and has a plan, even if it includes mass-murdering children. Enough. As a side note, I posted this song on my Facebook Page, on May 18, 2018. This was shortly after another mass school shooting in the States.

I ask the age old question
Are we all alone down here?
Do you believe in a wise old being
That made us all appear?
Or do you sit on the side of science
Did it all start off with a bang?
Is there meaning?

It seems with every new day
Another innocent is killed
The violence is never-ending
The hatred is never filled
They’ll gun people down at a concert
And slay children in a church
Is there meaning?

And when the assassinations
Have claimed the too many lives
The believers will say it’s all part of the plan
And yet there’s tears in believer’s eyes

God lives in America
He blesses every state
He blesses the guns and the president
And he blesses the NRA
If God lives in America
Then what is his address?
Is he fast asleep in his penthouse
Or did he skip out in the rent?

I ask the age old question
And the answers are all the same
God works in mysterious ways
And it’s not for us to say
All of these variations
Amount to the same old thing
There’s no meaning

If his power is great and mighty
If he can cleanse the earth with a flood
If he truly loves all his children
Then why are so many soaked in blood?

God lives in America
He blesses every state
He blesses the guns and the president
And he blesses the NRA
If God lives in America
Then what is his address?
